Method
•Mix together minced mutton, split gram, 1 chopped onion, 1 tablespoon garlic, 1 tablespoon ginger, 1 cup chopped coriander and salt and grind to a smooth mixture. •Make lemon-sized kofte and set aside. •Heat oil in a pan, and sauté 2 chopped onions till transparent. •Place the kofte on the onions in the pan, and steam the kofte. •Remove the steamed kofte from the pan and set aside. •Add tomatoes, pepper powder to the sautéed onion and mix well. •Add remaining garlic and ginger, coriander powder, garam masala, cumin powder, salt and chilli powder and cook for 10 minutes. •Transfer the steamed meatballs back into the pan and add ½ cup of water. •Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes. •Add 2 tablespoons chopped coriander, sliced green chillies, caraway-cardamom powder and lime juice. •Serve with buttered paratha.
